Welcome! My name is Nathalie and I’m the “Head Number Cruncher” here at The Balanced Creative. I’m a mom of three with a crazy sweet tooth and a love for iced coffee (it’s hot here in Texas!).
I created this business to help creative entrepreneurs take control of their finances because I’ve been in their shoes. You may not believe this, but not long ago I was a creative entrepreneur behind on my books, making all the mistakes and losing money because of it (hello missed tax deductions). I wanted to spend my working hours serving my clients and I had a hard time switching gears so that I was also properly running the back end of my business. When tax time rolled around I was stressed trying to get my numbers together for the year. In fact, that’s the first time I saw my year-end profit. Sound familiar? When I got pregnant with my 3rd, I decided to switch gears with my career. I had met so many amazing creative entrepreneurs on my journey, and I wanted to help them in the part of their business that seemed to be a pain point across the board. I committed myself to learning everything I could about properly keeping the books so that I could help my fellow creatives feel confident with their business finances. Now I’m here in my own little corner of the internet hoping to teach you everything you ever wanted to know about bookkeeping for your small business.
